Before you start
- Choose your visa first. Sizes differ: US visa and DV lottery are square, Schengen and Canada 35 × 45 mm, China 33 × 48 mm.
- Plain, light wall. White for US and China visas; white or light for Schengen and Canada.
- Face a window so light falls evenly on your face. No overhead lights.
- Glasses off, neutral face, mouth closed, hair away from your eyes.
- Photo taken in the last 6 months. Don't reuse an old visa photo.
