How it works

  1. Pixels or print size

Enter pixels directly, or cm, mm or inches with a DPI. At 300 DPI, 35 × 45 mm is 413 × 531 pixels.

  2. Crop, fit or keep shape

Crop to fill trims the edges evenly. Fit adds a white border. Keep shape changes only one side and calculates the other.

  3. DPI saved in the file

JPGs carry the DPI you choose, so they print at the right size in cm or inches.

  4. Private

Questions

How many pixels is 35 × 45 mm?

413 × 531 pixels at 300 DPI, or 827 × 1063 pixels at 600 DPI.

How do I resize a photo to 2 × 2 inches?

Choose inches, enter 2 and 2 with 300 DPI (600 × 600 pixels) and crop to fill. For a passport photo, use the photo maker instead so the head size is correct.

Will resizing reduce quality?

Making a photo smaller keeps it sharp. Making it much larger than the original can look soft, because no new detail can be added.

Is my photo uploaded?
